The Brief

Our clients had moved from a period house with a very large kitchen to a smaller, more manageable property which was in need of updating.

They wanted as much storage space as possible within the units, and for the design to achieve a sense of space and openness.

Having been used to an AGA, our clients were keen to have the equivalent cooking options with the benefit of energy efficient, user friendly appliances.

The award winning Starline range met our client's desire for a minimalist look.

It was important to them that the kitchen would work for them for the future and so big pan drawers and Le Mans corner units were incorporated.

The AGA cooking functions were replicated by planning in a multi function oven and large warming drawer in a tall housing.

This kitchen features AlnoStar Smartline units in Magnolia.

With integrated Neff appliances featuring the fabulous Neff Navigator oven and induction hob, the kitchen works beautifully.

The glistening granite worktop sets off the stainless steel undermount sink and features the essential Quooker boiling water tap.

With the benefit of being able to carry out the gas and electrical work ourselves, Kitchenology's experienced installers were able to carry out this transformation quickly and efficiently.

The works we completed included:

  • Install a new consumer unit
  • Remove the ceiling and replace it with smooth board, incorporating chrome downlights
  • Supply and install underfloor heating
  • Supply and install wood flooring
  • Install a new lighting circuit, new ring main and 20amp supply
  • Move hot and cold pipework
  • Remove existing kitchen
  • Install new kitchen and appliances
  • Supply and install wall unit underlighting
  • Remove existing utility room units and replace with the removed kitchen units.

please know we are absolutely delighted with our kitchen

we can't believe it's the same room.

Always approachable and contactable

... a very personal service from start to finish

...  confidence in Tim with installation

... very happy with the design service, took care to incorporate my wishes

The new layout has changed the way we use the room, in fact, we very rarely leave it!

Tim is one of the very few people we would trust alone in our property

Everyone very pleasant and friendly manner. All had a good current knowledge of my kitchen and what was happening

Helped to keep things as easy as possible for me e.g temporarily plumbing in my washing machine

Unintrusive in my daily living, not bombarded by questions or requests. Happy to do extra bit e.g. boxing in when asked

... always kept fully informed (daily) of schedules and what would be happening

... final result has exceeded my expectations.

Ultra White for 2013

Alno have introduced the 'Ultra White' door colour in a range of both Gloss and Matt finishes.

Ultra White from Alno

The Ultra White is so white it has an almost blue/violet hint and looks wonderful with the new 'Deep Blue' AlnoFine matt lacquer door for a crisp, contemporary contrast.
