Over, Cambs : 2017
Cambridge Kitchen by KitchenologyOur old kitchen was functional but not to our taste for the long term as we were after something more modern and wanted the finished article to form the centrepiece of our downstairs space.

We visited a few showrooms looking for a quality kitchen and from researching several German brands we knew we wanted Kitchenology to supply it. We liked the fact that they had a showroom, with expert help in the form of Jen, who was able to tell us all about the products on offer and to help us design our kitchen.

Kitchenology provide a complete service from design, order to delivery, building works, plastering, carpentry and installation. Having one company supply all of the expertise, and to be responsible for managing the site, made the process a lot less stressful. The only outside contractor we used was a central heating engineer.

Our biggest fear was getting the design wrong as it would have been an expensive mistake. Thankfully, it turned out perfectly and we’re so pleased with every aspect of our new kitchen and our new space. Kitchenology removed two supporting walls joining the kitchen and dining room and removed a narrow hallway. The open plan space is a fantastic family area where we all come together and enjoy a chat, drink and cook together. We always now eat at the dining room table catching up on the events of the day. It’s a fantastic communal space.

Kitchenology have a great installation team in Jon, Joe and Brandon who are excellent tradesmen. It can be hard having people in your house for several weeks, but the team are so respectful, always jolly (although not sure about their singing) and a pleasure to have in your house. But most importantly, they are perfectionists and the quality of their work is amazing.

Nothing was too much trouble. Jon would always make sure every step of the way that we were happy with all aspects of the installation and had great innovative ideas when alternative solutions were required.

We love every aspect of our kitchen. The coffee machine was an extravagance which we are glad we chose as it wasn’t in the first design! It all looks great and the whole family enjoy spending time in there – we absolutely love our new kitchen.

Histon : 2017
Histon, Cambridge Kitchen by KitchenologyWe wanted a kitchen that would be clean and very practical, very light and easy to clean with great storage.

We visited one other company but weren’t really going to go for something contemporary although our friends had a German kitchen which they loved. We were won over by Kitchenology’s design ideas and flexibility.

Jen was super helpful but not in a pushy way which made us feel very comfortable. She made very practical suggestions and was very flexible, working around some of the things in a very old house which aren’t ideal. Their design worked for us and Jen listened to our needs.

I thought the installation might be difficult because of the age of the building and the kitchen is partly in the old bit and partly in the new bit. The installation team were great and they worked round any problems that came up. The boxing around our tall bank of units was brilliantly done even though I think they found it tricky due to the non-square walls and floor.

It was fantastic seeing the new kitchen turn out pretty much as we had planned it. So glad that we had confidence in Jen’s assurance that a modern kitchen in a listed building could work well. Everyone was always super helpful and were great at offering practical suggestions that worked around our quirky building.

They made great suggestions when on site that they felt would make a difference and they really did. They suggested that we made the island slightly longer which I’m so glad we did. It makes it just that bit more comfortable. They also suggested some tiny tweaks around the placement of the sink and downdraft extractor which have really worked – things we wouldn’t have thought about.

I love the large expanse of open worktop – it’s so easy to cook in. I love the deep drawers everywhere – we have so much storage space. Jen’s idea of having a gadget area for kettle, coffee machine, toaster etc has worked brilliantly. I also love the induction hob which I wasn’t sure I would having been used to the responsiveness of gas but Jen let me stand and play with a pan of boiling water in the showroom for half an hour and I was sold.

Kitchenology listened to the things that were important to us, and didn’t try to push us over our budget.

Ipswich : 2017
Ipswich Kitchen - by KitchenologyI needed a new kitchen as I was converting my living room and dining room into an open plan area. The two rooms were knocked into one and a small extension built giving me a large square room in which to house a kitchen, dining and living areas, with bi-fold doors opening onto the garden. The existing kitchen was pulled out and converted to an office and storage area. I needed the new kitchen to be modern, classy and minimalistic. My must haves were flat, matt grey handless units, a large island for cooking with the children, a self-cleaning oven, wine fridge, great lighting and plenty of storage.

I visited several kitchen shops before Kitchenology was recommended to me by a friend of my Mum. The other kitchen shops I visited couldn’t really offer me what I wanted in terms of looks and designs, and a couple didn’t even get back to me after the initial visit; despite a substantial budget. As soon as I walked into the Kitchenology showroom I was impressed with the layouts of the kitchens and the quality, look and feel of the units. I was greeted by Jennifer, owner and kitchen designer, whose easy going manner made me feel at ease. She listened to what I wanted and her knowledge and experience ensured she came up with a great design to suit my needs.

My favourite part of the Kitchenology experience was the way everything ran smoothly from start to finish. Communication was great throughout the whole process and the whole team were professional, courteous, knowledgeable and helpful. The installation team arrived on time, ensured I had minimal disruption in the house, cleaned up after themselves every day and finished the project on time.

I had a great experience with Kitchenology, and after nine months of living with the kitchen wouldn’t change a thing. I would definitely recommend Kitchenology as a complete design, supply and installation service.

Bury St Edmunds : 2017
Bury St Edmunds Kitchen - kitchenologyWe decided to extend our house for a new open plan kitchen and dining room. We needed a new kitchen and knew what we wanted but were told by other kitchen companies that it was not possible. We then went to the Kitchenology show room and were very impressed with the displays and saw the kitchen we wanted. We spoke to Jen and told her we wanted a white kitchen with an island we could sit at and entertain at. She offered to do us a design and when we saw it we knew that was the one for us, we did not have to change anything. There was a long delay on building our extension but Kitchenology were very understanding and did not rush us. The fitting was very professional from start to finish with no problems. The two fitters and Tim were very friendly and polite. We chose Kitchenology because they made us feel very special and nothing was too much trouble and we would not hesitate to recommend them. We love the worktops which are very easy to keep clean. We especially love the Island which we were told we could not have by the other kitchen companies but Kitchenology did it for us.

Rattlesden : 2017
Rattlesden Kitchen by KitchenologyMy existing kitchen was old and worn out. The layout did not flow due to too many doors shutting off zones making the space dark and cluttered. As the utility is entered via the rear door then through to the kitchen, I wanted an open area running seamlessly from utility to kitchen.

I wanted to rethink the layout of the kitchen and utility room – in particular the cabinetry, appliances, sinks, taps and electrics. I was after an organised work space with a lighter and much more open feel – also the inclusion of plenty of drawers and more work surfaces as well as somewhere to sit and have a coffee, or a bite to eat.

I visited several kitchen companies and received quotations from two. However, both companies based their plans on the existing kitchen layout and never suggested anything different. Jennifer at Kitchenology, on the other hand, spent time with me and seemed to know what was in my head even if I never fully understood myself! I just knew as soon as I saw her design that it was exactly what I wanted.

Buying a new kitchen and appliances, plus refurbishment work on my own was a huge concern. I didn’t want the worry of appointing different trades. For me it was the trust I felt when I first met Jennifer. She took away the anxiety and fear with her expert knowledge of different kitchen styles to suit different spaces and lifestyle, together with advice on appliances, taps and sinks, electrics, etc. As soon as I visited the Kitchenology showroom and viewed the displays it was plain to see the quality was way above other kitchens I had viewed.

I never had any fear as I totally trusted Jennifer’s knowledge and expertise being a family run kitchen business with many years’ experience.

I adore the fresh, light and modern clean lines of the cabinetry, together with the Siemens appliances, and the worktops look superb. I’m so pleased with all of it but particularly: 1) I now have the fridge in the actual kitchen! 2) I can spend time in the kitchen with friends and have a coffee from the superb Siemens coffee machine 3) I feel like I have gained another room in the house as it is so wonderful to sit and admire. In the evening the different lighting to suit one’s mood is amazing.

My favourite part of my Kitchenology experience was seeing the design on Jennifer’s software for the first time, and the relief that this was exactly what I wanted. And to top it all the whole project would be carried out by a company I could trust 100%.

It was stress free. The installation team were second to none. I can’t praise them enough. Attention to detail, checking with me on where I would like things positioned, etc. All fantastic.

Trimley St Mary : 2017
Trimley-St-Mary Kitchen by KitchenologyWe were looking to replace our kitchen as it was very tired looking, having served us well through bringing up three children. It was very functional but lacking in light and inspiration. To replace it we wanted a high spec, bright modern space that would lend itself to both day to day living and entertaining equally well.

We settled on choosing Kitchenology as they provided the most personal service, taking into account our thoughts and adding to them to make a plan together. Jen made the experience feel like a joint project rather than an exercise in ‘fitting things in spaces’.

Kitchenology stood out mainly due to the welcoming atmosphere in the showroom, Jen making herself familiar with our lifestyle to ensure the ideas we had would work to the best advantage.

The whole experience was very positive, from the designing to the installation. The whole team were very friendly and professional and there was never any pressure at all to make decisions on either design or installation times.

The installation was agreed at a mutually agreeable time that was a wonderful convenience and the installation team were absolutely wonderful. An absolute pleasure to have ones home for length of time.

Our favourite feature is the coffee machine and wine drawers that have been incorporated into an existing chimney breast. Other benefits include the fantastic quality of the units, the made to measure units that meant we were not compromised in the look of the kitchen due to only having standard sizes available and exceptionally clean and clutter free space that this kitchen now provides us with.

We would definitely recommend Kitchenology, the service they provided in the design and the finished product are beyond comparison. A joy to work with.

Beccles : 2017
We own a small guest house and wanted to upgrade three rooms into one. We wanted a new bespoke high tech kitchen that would work well with our business while at the same time open out into our existing conservatory which is our private lounge. Another aim was to upgrade our laundry/utility room to enhance our work and living space.

Twenty years ago we had a high quality German kitchen installed in our old kitchen area and it was used extensively over the years and stood up well to all the use and abuse of a business. We looked at various other German kitchen suppliers but Kitchenology was our first choice because the showroom was finished to such a high standard showing all the latest technology on offer. This, combined with Jennifer’s knowledge of her products, was the deciding factor.

We are a business and needed to know when we could close and when we could open again. We have had other building works done in the past and the biggest worry was whether we could knock out the old kitchen, solve any underlying problems that emerged from an old house, then put it all back together again in time to open at the given date for our guests.

Our old house was hiding various problems that threatened the project, but Kitchenology dealt with all these tests head on and had us up and running by the due date. Big relief as a guest house with no kitchen is not too good!

The best part was being able to work with Jennifer to design this superb work/living space while incorporating all the latest technology that we saw during our kitchen demonstration days at the showroom. Then watching as the fitters did their magic.

Nothing was too much trouble. A company that can install this ethos in their staff is great to work with. They arrived on time, installed to the pre-set schedule and finished on time, all on budget with a cheery smile.

Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk : 2017
Bury St Edmunds Kitchen by KitchenologyWe wanted to move our kitchen to the back of our house to make more of the deck and garden in order to host parties, etc. Everyone we approached said it was not possible until we spoke to Jen at Kitchenology. Although plumbing and waste was already there a certain amount of building work was required, but Jen came up with a design that we had not thought of and it completely fitted our vision, with all of the building work to be carried out by Kitchenology.

The cabinets were exactly what we wanted. Easy to use with clean lines and soft closing drawers and doors. We particularly like the cupboards with soft closing drawers inside. The units are well made and easy to keep clean and were made to fit our space, in particular the island and the full height cupboards.

We would thoroughly recommend the services of Kitchenology to anyone who wants a proper job done

Beyton, Suffolk : 2016
Our previous kitchen was made of wood and had started to fade and discolour.

I initially visited the Kitchenology website for ideas and followed it up with a visit to the showroom.

The design stage was enormous fun and gave us an opportunity to play around with different layouts and styles of kitchen before making our final choice.

The installation went really smoothly and was well project managed. Everybody working on the project was incredibly professional and meticulous in the way they worked, which meant that we had very little to worry about throughout.

We are delighted with the finished kitchen and now spend most of our time in this room, it was totally worth the investment. There was attention to detail and excellent customer care every step of the way. I would recommend Kitchenology without hesitation.

Cambridge : 2016
Open Plan Lifestyle Cambridge Kitchen designed and installed by KitchenologyWe were doing an open-plan space for our house and wanted that wow factor and for the kitchen to be the main focal point of the house. I wanted like a cottage kitchen, but more of a modern take on that. And I really wanted a big island, it was my dream to have a big island in my kitchen.

We went everywhere and we had found that prices for kitchens had gone up a lot since the last time we purchased our kitchen. We live in Cambridge and we went everywhere, and I went online and looked –Just by accident I saw an advert somewhere for Kitchenology; I really liked the name of it, and it was advertising open days where Jen invites people into her place and they use the appliances to see what they are like and whether they like the look. As soon as I walked in I liked the look of the kitchen, it was something I would like in my home.

A kitchen isn’t something you change every so often and we haven’t changed our kitchen in such a long time. I felt really rusty and was worried that I wouldn’t think of everything, especially because technology has changed so much these days. I wanted to get the right design of the kitchen, making it both beautiful and practical. Jen went through everything with us though, and reassured us until we were ready. I don’t know what we would’ve done if we didn’t have the service that Jen provided us with. Her knowledge and the way she treated us as customers, I just had a feeling that this was the right place. She is very professional, and now I see her as a friend as she is very warm and a pleasure to work with. She’s unbelievable!

I am happy and it does have that wow factor. I’ve had family and friends come over and everybody always says, “Oh my gosh, where did you get your kitchen from? Its lovely.” I love cooking and this is like the heart of my home.

I would definitely recommend Kitchenology they have a lovely team: the men that came to fit the units were really nice and very professional. At every stage I felt very reassured and that I was in very professional hands.

Girton, Cambridgeshire : 2016
Girton, near Cambridge Kitchen designed and installed by KitchenologyHi Jen,

Don’t worry the kitchen is still spotless lol

We absolutely love the kitchen area it’s such a great entertaining space now. …already had 2 parties!

The seashore/nautical accessories we got from Culinary Concepts compliment so well and make the area even more like a showroom…..which is what everyone’s comment is when they walk in along with … WOW!!

We have so many compliments regarding the colour combination even from men….and the local builders!!

The kitchen looks equally fab day or night and we both think that because of the lighting effects which show off so well when dark that you may like to get a day and night pic for your website!

Please feel free to come and view for yourself one evening as soon as you get back from Germany…. just call us …you will see what we mean!

Many many thanks

Botesdale, Suffolk : 2016
Botesdale, Suffolk Kitchen designed and installed by KitchenologyI needed a new kitchen with sufficient working space, easy access to everything (food, utensils, pots and pans, etc) and that was simple to keep looking good. I love to cook, so ‘great appliances’ was also at the top of my list of “must haves.”

Both my previous kitchens had been bespoke, so I looked for a company that provided good quality and first class service. I had passed Kitchenology often and I called in just to see what they had to offer.

First of all I was impressed with the kitchens on display in their showroom and then, with the way Jennifer was helpful but not “pushy.”

She listened carefully to my requirements, made suggestions, then produced a plan of how my new kitchen might take shape. Again, I was impressed that, there were not just plan views, but actual pictures of the kitchen so I could see exactly how it would look.

Tim called to measure everything. The fact that he knows his job inside out meant that it all fitted perfectly when the kitchen arrived – no awkward gaps anywhere. Jon and Joe the fitters were my particular favourites!

They pulled down the ceiling, pulled up the floor, did loads of “dirty” work and left the place spotless each evening. The kitchen was fitted with great attention to detail – they are extremely proud of what they do and quite rightly so!

I love everything about my kitchen and I haven’t once said to myself “If only I had thought of that!” The kitchen arrived on time and was fitted within a few weeks – any delays were due to the builder, and not Kitchenology, who worked around the builder magnificently. I would recommend Kitchenology without hesitation.

Great Ashfield : 2016
Kitchen at Great Ashfield, Suffolk by KitchenologyAfter waiting 5 years for a new kitchen it has now been installed, cooked in and is being loved! I had an old style wood kitchen which suited the country cottage feel of the house at the time, but this time I realised I wanted a kitchen where everything was put away, floor units, not wall cupboards and easy to keep clean worktops.

I took time to look at quite a few kitchen showrooms and talk with the in-house planners.  The way the kitchens were made and the finish of them were important to me. The opinion I came away with was; in order to have a robust quality kitchen you had to pay for it.

I found the perfect solution in Kitchenology; the professional dealings of the staff enabled my dream to be turned into a reality. To start with I was fed up with lifting things out of wall cupboards to find what I needed was at the back, so drawers were a great alternative. I actually think I may have gone mad on the drawer side but was assured by Jennifer (Kitchenology) that the design was balanced. Each drawer has glass inserted into the side which gives light when opened so everything can be seen.

I like baking so asked for a dropped area along the work surface with drawers underneath to house my flour and tins etc. it’s now a wonderfully cool surface to make pastry and bread. Kitchenology also designed and created a cupboard to fit around a protruding wall, this accommodates my utensils on its large and small shelves, and also houses the dustbin, brilliant! I have another 3 bins neatly fitting under the sink and on runners for easy access, one for small rubbish, one for compost and one large for recycle.

All the kitchen units have a use, the corner cupboard has pull out trays, small cupboards have doors and shelves. My island is made up of units, drawers and a Spekva Wood breakfast bar for two. I have all new appliances, from ovens to fridge, freezer and hob. I now cook food quicker and with plenty of room! Wonderful.

Westleton : 2015
Kitchen at Westleton designed and installed by KitchenologyIn our minds Kitchenology, comprising of Jennifer’s design and Tim’s work force, is a perfect partnership!  The product itself is a joy to use as all drawers and cupboards operate smoothly and quietly.  Our whole experience has been completely stress free, actually there was stress in the beginning but only due to the extensive choice of colour and finish.  Jennifer was hugely helpful in that area and her advice on practicality and suitability to our life style invaluable. Our choice was Siemens equipment, sleek design and usage now living up to expectation.  The cookery demo at Kitchenology’s showroom certainly enhanced our understanding of the products.  In summary……….we recommend Kitchenology without reservation.

Newmarket : 2015
Newmarket kitchen designed and installed by KitchenologyI thought choosing a kitchen for our self-build project would be easy but starting with a blank canvas was much harder than I anticipated. We had visited several kitchen suppliers before going to Kitchenology, all of whom took my thoughts and came up with pretty much the same design. Jen was the only person who actually challenged what I said I wanted (with good reason!) and came up with the design which was eventually installed.

The whole process from ordering to installation was easy and professionally done by the Kitchenology team. We love our kitchen and the design couldn’t work better for us.

Cambridge : 2015
Cambridge kitchen designed and installed by KitchenologyAfter living in our house for almost 5 years, we realised the need to create a better flow through the house along with a desire to enlarge the kitchen/dining and entertaining space that looks out to the garden. I had visited several kitchen companies and received several designs and quotes, but found that Kitchenology offered a more complete service from start to finish as well as being competitively priced. I liked the kitchens on display and felt that the choice of colours and styles would suit our space. Jen designed the kitchen and seating area to suit the space, taking into account our requirements such as keeping a light and open feeling to the space, and really thought about the way the kitchen would be used in her design. Jen was also able to guide the selection of high quality fittings and appliances that really set off the kitchen and made the task much easier. She liaised directly with our architect to keep him informed of the design and any updates along the way. Tim was able to meet with the builders before the kitchen was fitted, to ensure that the space was prepared accordingly and that they knew what they needed to do afterwards. Kitchenology have been very helpful and most responsive throughout the process. We are completely delighted with the end result. It is a wonderful warm and friendly space now with a modern contemporary feel. It has achieved the light and airy openness that we were looking for.

Linton : 2015
Kitchen designed and installed by Kitchenology at Linton, CambridgeshireOur existing kitchen was solid but dated and faced north and the space felt a little gloomy. Our new kitchen needed to be spacious and light. Kitchenology offered us a proper design service and were not simply kitchen fitters putting units together on a plan and Jen was very patient and happy to explore different ideas and make time for us before having any guarantee of a sale. As a result we have a kitchen that feels so much lighter and more spacious yet really works well as a functioning kitchen. There are so many really satisfying smaller touches that continue to please such as the soft close doors – as well as one or two indulgences such as the coffee machine and under-worktop LED lights. Everyone loves sitting at the breakfast bar! When it came to fitting the kitchen we were very happy with the standard of workmanship and attention to detail. Their attitude to snagging was also prompt and efficient I would definitely recommend Kitchenology to my friends.

Drinkstone : 2014 - a customers diary of their new kitchen
Drinkstone - 0207The final result is a beautiful kitchen which really ‘works’ for us. Cooking is now more of a pleasure than a chore and the room is easier to keep clean and tidy. It is no longer a room ‘just’ for preparing meals – it is much more of a social space and a good place to sit with a cup of tea and newspaper overlooking the garden. It is a world away from the kitchen that was there before.

Oh… and the price really was all inclusive!

Stanton : 2013
Stanton3692We are very happy with both the quality of the units and worktops, and the way that they were fitted by Kitchenology (Tim & John in our case) – the work is of a very high standard. Other associated work, such as lighting, electrical and plastering, was also to a very high standard.

Everything was done on time. Work started and finished according to the time plan agreed when we signed the contract. Tim also confirmed on a daily basis what was going to happen next and what time they would arrive each day. On the few occasions we contacted Tim to ask a question (usually about something we wanted to change our mind about – such as lights or handles) he responded within a short time (never longer than a few hours). During the design process we changed what we wanted on several occasions – Jen was unfailingly helpful during this process and made many suggestions which we incorporated. She was also very good at offering different options, and discussing the pro’s and con’s of each, to ensure that we got exactly what we wanted at a price we were happy with.

Our kitchen is now finished (apart from flooring and blinds which are being done by other companies) and we are very happy with the way it looks. The plans and 3D simulations provided by Kitchenology were very helpful in this regard.

We’ve lived in/with our kitchen for several weeks now and we are still delighted with it both in terms of looks and functionality. Our experience of Kitchenology has been excellent from start to finish.

We looked closely at 3 other local kitchen companies over several months before deciding on Kitchenology. We chose them based on various parameters; mainly design, quality and cost. We also chose them because they seemed helpful, pleasant and genuine. We haven’t been disappointed and are happy to speak of our good experience and recommend them based on that.

Woodditton : 2012
Woodditton - -IMAGE-7When we decided to change our kitchen we were unsure of what style we wanted. In order to get ideas we decided to visit many show rooms as far and wide as Edinburgh, London, Cambridge, Cumbria and Harrogate.

We were nervous about making such an expensive purchase so wanted the confidence in the expertise and knowledge that we were making the correct decisions.

Our experience at Kitchenology was very different. On arriving at the show room we received a friendly greeting from Jennifer. We were able to look at the displays without any sales pressure. Jennifer was on hand to answer any questions and provide lots of information. At this stage we were still exploring options and styles so left armed with information and continued on our search to find a kitchen we could live with and a company who were able to understand our family requirements, budget and tastes. Jennifer indicated that she was flexible to meet with us when we wanted to suit our busy working and personal lives, and for the design phase it was complimentary part of the process. After further visits to local designers/showrooms we narrowed it down to two suppliers to help with the design process.

We found that Jennifer listened to our requirements, was able to offer suggestions based on practical experience. All the designs were within our budget and we never felt that we were been oversold anything.

Using the planning area we were able to have the time to play with the design Jennifer created, merging the preferred features into our ideal design. During the various consultation meetings Jennifer paced the sessions to ensure that we did become over whelmed with decisions providing us with the space to think, review, an consider our choices. She also advised that for the internal drawer unit features to defer these decisions until after installation so that we would decide what we wanted from using the kitchen, therefore avoiding unnecessary additional expense on unrequired items.

In terms of fitting the installation team where flexible in timing to fit in with the overall building project. The installation happened on time and to plan. With any building project there are always snags afterwards and Tim responded to these immediately.

The finished product is amazing – we are thrilled with our new living space which is very much the heart of our home. With Jennifer’s assistance we have created a wonderful environment where we gather with family and friends.

The reaction from our friends has also been entertaining – one friend was physically speechless as it was so fantastic, friends continually offer positive comments, even our children’s friends offer comments suggesting it’s a great ‘social gathering place’.
