Why were you looking for a new kitchen?

I needed a new kitchen as I was converting my living room and dining room into an open plan area. The two rooms were knocked into one and a small extension built giving me a large square room in which to house a kitchen, dining and living areas, with bi-fold doors opening onto the garden. The existing kitchen was pulled out and converted to an office and storage area.

I needed the new kitchen to be modern, classy and minimalistic. My must haves were flat, matt grey handless units, a large island for cooking with the children, a self cleaning oven, wine fridge, great lighting and plenty of storage.

The installation team arrived on time, ensured I had minimal disruption in the house, cleaned up after themselves every day and finished the project on time.

Why did you choose Kitchenology for your project?

I visited several kitchen shops before Kitchenology was recommended to me by a friend of my Mum. The other kitchen shops I visited couldn't really offer me what I wanted in terms of looks and designs, and a couple didn't even get back to me after the initial visit; despite a substantial budget.

As soon as I walked into the Kitchenology design studio I was impressed with the layouts of the kitchens and the quality, look and feel of the units. I was greeted by Jennifer, owner and kitchen designer, whose easy-going manner made me feel at ease. She listened to what I wanted and her knowledge and experience ensured she came up with a great design to suit my needs. They had an excellent choice of unit colours and finishes and it was easy to find one to match my colour scheme.

What was your biggest fear before ordering your kitchen?

My only fear before ordering my kitchen was could I admit to my husband how much it would cost! Luckily he trusts my judgment, and once it was completed he could see the superior quality compared to cheaper options.

What specifically was your favourite part of your Kitchenology Experience?

My favourite part of the Kitchenology experience was the way everything ran smoothly from start to finish. Communication was great throughout the whole process and the whole team were professional, courteous, knowledgeable and helpful. The installation team arrived on time, ensured I had minimal disruption in the house, cleaned up after themselves every day and finished the project on time.

What specific feature did you most like about your kitchen?

The best feature of my kitchen is the tambour unit which has a roll door and houses my coffee and tea making equipment. It gives quick access but hides everything away to keep the worktops clear. I love the large storage drawers, larder style cupboards and the colour matching unit carcasses, shelves and interior edging.

Would you recommend Kitchenology?

I had a great experience with Kitchenology, and after nine months of living with the kitchen wouldn't change a thing. I would definitely recommend Kitchenology as a complete design, supply and installation service.
